A bungee line with a shock absorber is a mandatory piece of equipment in all mushing disciplines. Even if you are going for a regular walk but using a canicross belt or a hands-free waist belt, you should always use a bungee line with shock absorption instead of a regular leash.
In this article, we have gathered the key and most important information to guide you when choosing the right bungee line.
The first type of bungee line is a cable-core line designed for one dog. This type is especially suitable for winter training and bikejoring. It is particularly practical in bad weather conditions, as the cable does not absorb water, is easy to clean, and does not sink.
It is also convenient for swimming sessions or water-based rehabilitation for dogs.
If you have two dogs, we offer a similar version of the bungee line designed as a two-dog setup (coupler system), allowing you to train both dogs together.
The coupler section can be easily detached if needed and can even be used separately with a regular leash.
This bungee line set also includes a neckline connector (neck line), which is designed to connect two dogs together in harness. It attaches to the collar rings using snap hooks.
During training, the neckline helps the dogs run in sync, prevents tangling in the harness, and reduces sudden pulling in opposite directions from their partner.
The next type of bungee line we will consider is the Will to go belt bungee line. This model is specifically designed for training with a canicross waist belt.
The Will to go belt bungee line can be used with our own production belt, attached to any similar waist belt, or used independently by holding the handle loop. The line is equipped with an additional stainless steel D-ring on the belt side, allowing you to use the handle loop when needed, either like a regular leash or in a Finnish-style configuration.
It is available in two versions:
• With aluminum carabiners
• With classic snap hooks
